CARES Act and Additional Funds via Senate: IG with Attorney | UT Adjunct Lecturer HQ (4|21)

CARES Act and Additional Funds via Senate: IG with Attorney | UT Adjunct Lecturer HQ (4|21) Important Update! The senate just passed an amendment to the CARES Act (H.R. 748) that adds an additional $310 Billion in funding to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), $60 Billion to the Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL), $75 Billion to hospitals and PPE, and $25 Billion to COVID-19 testing.

Guys, this amendment is huge for the continuance of small businesses and for better management of our health crisis, propping up necessary hospitals and testing initiatives, for the nation to endure this pandemic, both securely and economically.

I briefly go through the actual Senate amendment, pulled it before it's logged into the congressional record tonight, so you all have this info pronto. It’s going to vote in the house this Thursday, and if your bank had rejected your PPP loan application and it was a community bank, chances are, they’ll take your application again — because the SBA is required to back at least $30 Billion in community lender PPP loans, which is a huge win for small businesses throughout the nation.
