President Donald Trump said the U.S. has enough testing capacity to allow for a phased reopening of the economy, and that he’s “not happy” with China over the country’s early actions to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
The U.K. said it can see early signs of the lockdown working. Spain had the most new cases in a week, while Russia reported another record daily increase in new infections.
Cases in Singapore continued to climb as authorities detected more infections among foreign workers living in dormitories. China pledged stronger policies after the pandemic pushed its economy into its first contraction in decades.
