Relatives of a Laventille man killed by police on Wednesday morning are crying foul as they say excessive force was used. According to reports, a team of officers visited the Prizgar Lands home of Vincent Moore around 3:30am.
We're told the officers gained access to the downstairs apartment where he lived, and Moore was taken to a back room where he was shot.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
Relatives confirmed that Moore, also known as ‘Chunky,’ was known to police. But they say he didn't have a gun on him and therefore it wasn't a case of officers being fired upon.
Moore was the father of two girls: a 14 year old and a nine month old.
