Commentary:
Japanese carrier air group attacks Midway island. Pretty epic scene but the attack here is too brief.
The attack in real life was longer and involved different squadrons making their runs from different altitudes. There was also several fighter engagements - a lot of american were shots down along with a some Japanese bombers.
Interestingly Midway's fighter planes were not supposed to be here, their orders were to project the carriers of combined fleet which means they should have escorted Midway's morning launches that would eventually attack the Japanese Carriers. However, all the fighters stayed to defend the island and a significant amount were lost in the ensuing dogfight against super Japanese Zeros.
