Amritsar: Isolation centres are being set up in eight coaches here.
The Railways has also stationed one more coach for the medical staff at the Amritsar railway station. The state government has made arrangements for 3,500-bed isolation centres for symptomatic cases in different parts of the holy city.

The centres are being set up in the backdrop of mass screening of nearly 12 lakh residents with infrared thermometers.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
