School District 71 - Continuity of Learning Framework

Comox Valley Schools has started a new information video series to help our school communities - parents / guardians, families, students, and staff - better understand the alternative methods for the delivery of education while classroom instruction is suspended as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions.

In this first video, Director of Instruction, Allan Douglas and Kara Dawson, District IT Support Teacher, explain to our community the newly rolled out framework: Continuity of Learning.

Allan Douglas explains the principles and core values behind the framework for elementary schools and lays out expectations for all communities, from student and schools to parents and teacher.

Kara Dawson goes deeper into the tools and resources for online learning to help enhance the education experience, which are found at www.learn71.ca

For those with limited or no online resources and technology, please connect with your teacher and school so the District will ensure families receive paper packages to you so that your child(ren)'s education experience can be just as rewarding and successful.
