Women in Islam Part 3 - Political Islam Ep.7

We’re back for another episode of this segment on “Women in Islam” where Al Fadi and Bill Warner discuss the common claim made by Islamic apologists who say that Islam “elevated” the status of women and women’s rights.


Following the last episode where we ended on a hadith that said that women were mentally deficient, we come to another hadith from bukhari that doubles down on the idea that women are deficient, not only in their mental state, but also deficient intellectually.


We also find that women in Islamic societies have almost no representation in high significance job roles such as lawyers, academics, government, business etc.


So why is Islam championed for being a source of women’s rights?
