George Floyd protests: Demonstrators gather outside the White House in peaceful protest

Protesters gathered outside the White House on Wednesday as demonstrations continue across the U.S. protesting the death of George Floyd.

Floyd, a Black man, died of suffocation while in police custody after video emerged of a white Minneapolis, Minn., police officer kneeling on his neck for several minutes.

Minnesota's Attorney General announced second-degree charges on Wednesday against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

Officials also announced arrest warrants have been issued for three other fired officers present during Floyd's arrest.
