Stress response and the chemo paradox | Tsonwin Hai | TEDxOhioStateUniversity Stress is unavoidable in life. However, how we respond to stress plays an important role in its impact on our health. Chemotherapy, as a stressor, activates the cellular stress response, changes our body's immune cells, and paradoxically increases cancer spread. Tsonwin Hai teaches Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the Ohio State University. Her research focuses on how our cells respond to stress signals, and how these responses affect our immune system, which in turn affects disease progression.
