Though they are not considered threatened across much of Southeast Asia, leopard cats are an endangered species in Taiwan. The island’s only surviving wildcats face many threats from humans, including poisons, traps or simply killed while crossing the road.Chen Mei-ting, a researcher who is chairwoman of the Leopard Cat Association of Taiwan, has been finding the creatures in the wild for 20 years as part of her mission to try and ensure they have a future on the island.(Photo: The Leopard Cat Association of Taiwan)
