🌀Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater/Sarasota: The strongest part of the storm will occur between 7pm and midnight. Unfortunately, this is also when high tide is occuring, so the potential does exist in coastal Tampa Bay for a 3-5 foot storm surge. Heavy rain will continue this evening with storm totals reaching near 6" in spotty locations. Wind gusts at the beach will be between 50-60mph, with even an isolated 70mph gust possible. Keep an eye out for isolated tornadoes in the rain bands as well.
🌀Citrus/Hernando/Pasco Counties: The center of Eta will move onshore as a tropical storm around sunrise on Thursday near Citrus Co. The strongest part of the storm will impact this area during the overnight hours and wrapping up early Thursday morning. Max winds at the coast between 50-70 mph, storm surge between 3-5 feet, rain totals between 3-6 feet, & an isolated tornado.
