Mama Bloom's Brood is a blend of a sitcom and a soap opera, aired in fifteen minute segments. The stories revolve around an older couple, Mama and Papa Bloom, and their brood, daughters Yetta and Sara, along with their husbands, who embark on a road trip to see Hollywood after Papa Bloom has sold his pants factory at a hefty profit.

The adventures of Mama Bloom's Brood range from Indians in the desert, card playing in Michigan, and an investment in a motion picture company. Mama Becky Bloom is a lighthearted ,loveable character that has been frequently compared to Molly in The Goldbergs , and vice versa. Series aired around 1934
