Wavelength, Frequency, Time Period and Amplitude | Physics

Wavelength, Frequency, Time Period and Amplitude | Physics In this animated lecture, I will teach you about wavelength, frequency, time period, wave cycle, amplitude, transverse waves, longitudinal waves, oscillations and one wave cycle. Also I will teach you that how you will find the wavelength, frequency and amplitude of any waves.

Wavelength is the length of successive crest and trough or it is the length of successive compression and rarefaction. Wavelength is denoted by greek letter lambda. The S.I Unit of   wavelength is meter.

Frequency is the number of wave cycles or number of oscillations completed in one second. Frequency is denoted by f. The S.I Unit of frequency is hertz. Frequency is also equal to the reciprocal of time period.

One wave cycle or one oscillation is completed by consecutive or successive crest and trough.

Time period is defined as the time taken by the wave to complete one wave cycle or one oscillation. Time period is denoted by T. The S.I Unit of time period is sec.
Time period is also equal to the reciprocal of frequency.
