Persimmons are such a sweet and tasty seasonal fruit that everyone should try. In this video, you will know why some persimmons have a bitter, chalky taste and why others do not. You will also learn how to easily remedy the bitter ones. You will learn where you can find the fruit in stores and their price ranges. We will also compare four different types of persimmons, all with their own characteristics and flavors. Other varieties of persimmons will be mentioned as well. You will learn that the persimmon is a versatile fruit with many uses. These are my favorite seasonal fruits! In this video, one of the persimmon varieties originates from our family-owned persimmon tree. **Persimmon Identification Correction**
I referred to one of the persimmon types as 'American Persimmon. (Diospyros virginiana)' The persimmon type that we own is Eureka Persimmon, not American Persimmon.
