SUBJECTIVE VS OBJECTIVE DATA (NURSING) SUBJECTIVE VS OBJECTIVE DATA (NURSING)

What is subjective data and objective data? And why do you need to know about it in nursing school?

In this video, we're going to dive into what subjective vs objective actually means in nursing school, and I'll give you a little trick to help you remember it. Plus, we'll walk through a common example of subjective vs objective data that many nursing students get wrong.

Here are the quick definitions of subjective vs objective data:

Subjective data in nursing really just means that you can't observe it (meaning you can't see it, feel it, touch it, smell it, heart it, or otherwise experience it yourself).

On the flip side, objective data in nursing means that you CAN observe it. Often times it's measurable, repeatable or it can be experienced by you or by someone else.

Make sure to watch the whole video for the memory trick + an example of subjective vs objective data.
