Erma Fiend is a multimedia animation company featuring the work of GIPHY artist Lee Friend Roberts. For this project, they created a looping, animated self-portrait with some claymation morphs woven through the scene. Making self-portrait animations became a cathartic outlet for them when they were struggling to feel whole and comfortable with themselves. Their work expresses themes like the fluidity of identity, destruction as a passing state of change, and the consistency of an energy that lives through changing forms. SUBSCRIBE:
