Riyadh: The first fasting of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia is likely to take place on Friday 24 April.
According to astronomical astronomer Sharaf Safani, the moon in Ramadan is likely to appear on Thursday evening in Saudi Arabia, so the first fasting is expected on Friday, April 24.
The conference, chaired by HE Sheikh Dr. Abdurrahman al-Sadis, Head of the Hermann General Presidency, will announce the plans, all arrangements and procedures related to Ramadan.
In view of the situation in the Corona virus a few days ago, Saudi Mufti Shaikh Abdul Aziz al-Shaykh said in his statement that "If the situation in Corona virus does not improve in Ramadan, then security measures are taken to prevent the outbreak." By following the prayer, taraweeh can be offered at home and the same can be done with regard to Eid al-Fitr.
