Both are mini drones obviously. Dji spark has been out in the market for almost 3 years now. It got a downward ultrasonic sensor as well as the front sensor for obstacle avoidance. Its a quiet hefty mini drone compared to mini 2. However it is in a very solid shell, its battery is quiet hefty and it is unfoldable. Its form factor though not foldable is just very easy to carry around, its very portable especially when props are not installed. Its flight last only for 12 minutes per charge realistically based on my personal experience. You need more extra batteries to satisfy your cravings to fly. It weighs above 250 grams thats why it is one reason why it has a short flight time and the battery capacity as well. it has 2 axis gimbal and shoots 1080p hd footage. Well, one thing I like about it is that it is compatible with a third party app.
On the other hand, dji mini 2 also has its ultrasonic downward sensor. It is very light that it weighs only 249 grams. Well, there were some sacrifices to make it to its catch weight- shell were made thinner to make it light weight. There is a breakthrough technology to its battery. It uses a lipo battery which is very light weight. Connection is rock solid with its occusync 2.0. In my range test I was able to reach 4km which I believe can still be able to go beyond it. Signal was still very smooth and solid at that range. It can shoot up to 4k 30 fps.
Uhm, anyway this is my second hover test for this two cuties from dji. Watch the video and find out which one is smooth and stable.
